"The best photographs happen when the camera becomes invisible — and the moment just lives."
Nydam Photography is an Austin-based photography studio operated by Tanya and Arlen Nydam. Arlen — the photographer behind the lens — turned professional in 2008 and brings nearly two decades of experience to every shoot. His documentary-style approach covers weddings, sports, corporate events, sacramental ceremonies, and family portraits.
Tanya personally shepherds every wedding project, handling coordination and client experience from first inquiry to final gallery delivery. Together, they've built a studio that covers five distinct specialties — based in Austin, and available to travel worldwide.
Nydam Photography has also cultivated a professional photography community in Austin through The PhotoPro. Arlen leads online workshops, and the community regularly hosts other speakers from the photography industry.
